That’s right, I am wearing a flower print dress in the fall and it’s completely okay. I can totally get away with wearing this print even in the fall. Why? Because it’s a more subdued flower print and it’s navy blue, which is my saving grace. And, at the time, this photo was taken when it was still beautiful and warm outside. Another trick to getting away with wearing a flower print dress in the fall is adding classic fall colours and accessories. So, I decided to wear this dress with a navy blue blazer, black tights, and brown oxford shoes (love!), belt and bag. Ooh, I need to talk about this bag that I found on the Naturalizer website! I had been lusting after a bag that looks exactly like this one on the Nordstrom website. But with all the duties and taxes, and blah, blah, blah, it would’ve came to a whopping $145!! Yeah, I don’t think so. And this Naturalizer bag was only $30, including shipping. Can you believe it?? This tote bag is also reversible, just like the Nordstrom look alike. It’s pretty much exactly the same. A tote bag is an absolute necessity for all women. I can stuff so much in this bag. My whole life is in it. It is also comfortable to wear, and would be the perfect carry-on bag for travelling too!
I’ve been on the look out for a flower print pencil skirt for awhile, and finally I found one at Suzy Shier. It was the last one on the clearance rack (for $14.99!) in my size, so of course it was meant for me! I love the pop of colour in this skirt. When I was contemplating buying it, I was thinking about what I had in my closet that would go with this skirt. Since the skirt is so “busy” with a lot of bright colours, I decided that it would look best with something really basic in a neutral colour like white. Although, I think next time I will wear this skirt with a form-fitting white top instead to make the look cleaner.
